This topic describes the procedures for developing an application in Adobe Flex Builder or Adobe Flash Builder, using WebFOCUS Enable for Adobe Flex from Information Builders. It includes instructions on starting a new Flex project and importing WebFOCUS Enable into it, and creating an input file for the application using WebFOCUS Developer Studio.

It also describes how to add Information Builders custom components and filters.

The instructions assume that you have basic familiarity with Flex Builder or Flash Builder design and coding features.

Note:

• Flash Builder 4.x dialogs for creating a Flex project are different than Flex Builder 3.x. The images in this chapter are based on Flex Builder 3.x and may look slightly different for Flash Builder 4.x.
• Certain code tags, such as Application, will be in the Spark namespace as opposed to the MX namespace.
