WebFOCUS Managed Reporting provides a streamlined reporting environment that virtually eliminates the complexities of corporate data by giving users a simple way to generate reports and graphs.

With WebFOCUS Managed Reporting, a developer can easily transform complex views of data into simple objects labeled with common business terminology that every user can understand, such as Weekly Sales or Revenue. Users can then use these objects to create a wide range of reports and graphs by choosing from existing Reporting Objects to create, save, and use their own reports.

Note: The information and procedures in this chapter apply to both Developer Studio and the browser. The procedures are written from the Developer Studio perspective, and where significantly different, are also documented for the browser. If you are working in the browser, these procedures are still applicable, with minor variations. For example, in the browser you can click the icons in the toolbar instead of right-clicking to perform an operation.
