System libraries are useful when you wish to add standard segments to your dictionary. The following section describes how to download and install system libraries using Library Manager.

Procedure: How to Download and Install System Libraries

To download and install system libraries provided by iWay using the Library Manager:

  1. Open Library Manager.

    For information on opening Library Manager, see How to Open the Library Manager.

    By default, the System Library category is selected in the left pane and the EDIFACT tab is selected in the right pane.

  2. Click Download.

    The iWay Service Manager eBusiness Libraries download site opens in your default browser, as shown in the following image.

    You can access it externally by typing the following URL:

    http://iwse.ibi.com/ebiz/

    The system library data formats are listed along with the corresponding standard versions, which are provided as hyperlinks.

  3. Click on a standard version hyperlink, for example, 2001, for the EDI X12 data format.

    The File Download dialog box opens.

  4. Click Save.

    The Save As dialog box opens.

  5. Navigate to a location on your file system where you want to save your system library and click Save.

    Note: All system library files use the .ebl extension.

    The Download complete dialog box opens once the file is downloaded.

  6. Click Close and return to the Library Manager in Transformer.

  7. Click Install.

    The Open dialog box appears.

  8. Navigate to the location on your file system where the system library is downloaded, select the file, for example, X12_2001.ebl, and click Open.

    The system library is installed and now appears in the X12 tab of the Library Manager as shown in the following image.

  9. Click OK once you have finished using the Library Manager.

    You can repeat this procedure for any system library you want to download and install in Transformer. The following image shows the EDI X12 4010 and 2001 system library installed in the Library pane.
