From Designer, you can save process flows in the Repository, check process flows in and out, and publish process flows to Service Manager servers.
Process flows in the repository are read-only until they are checked out. When a flow is checked out, other users cannot modify the process flow.
In order to make your changes available to others and to enable them to make changes, you must check the flow back in.
Note: Because Power Users can easily break check-out locks (see Managing a Repository), concurrency control is most effective for competing users who are not Power Users.
To check a process flow out of the repository:
A key appears next to the name of the process flow in the Navigator pane, as shown in the following image, to indicate that the project is checked out and cannot be accessed by another user.
To check a process flow into a repository:
A Process icon appears next to the name of the process flow in the Navigator pane, as shown in the following image, to indicate the project is checked into the repository.
To save a process flow:
The process flow is now saved in the repository.
Note: The first time a flow is saved, it is checked into the repository and becomes read-only. You must check the file out again to work with it.
You may want to duplicate a process flow for use in another project or use it as a template for a new process flow in your current project. To copy a process flow:
The process flow appears under the Processes node.
