ReportCaster Library Report Purge Utility

How to:

The ReportCaster Library Report Purge Utility enables you to delete Library Reports that were created before a specified date.

Note: This utility is supported with Release 77 and higher.

This utility also deletes empty Library Report folders that do not have a corresponding schedule.

Note: Empty Library Reports that have a corresponding schedule are not deleted, as this will reset the version number to 1 when the next report is distributed for the corresponding schedule.

Procedure: How to Run the ReportCaster Library Report Purge Utility
  1. On a Windows system, use the Command Line Interface (CLI) to navigate to the /install_directory/ibi/WebFOCUS77/ReportCaster/bin directory, where install_directory is the directory in which ReportCaster is installed.
  2. Enter purgelib YYYYMMDD, where YYYYMMDD is the year, month, and date prior to which Library Reports will be deleted, as shown in the following image.

    Note: You must enter a space between purgelib and YYYYMMDD.

  3. Press Enter.
  4. Confirm that you want to continue with performing this purge, as shown in the following image.

    The number of deleted Library Reports and folders displays, as shown in the following image.

  5. Press any key to exit the ReportCaster Library Report Purge Utility.
