Installation Requirements

In this section:

Prior to installing the WebFOCUS Portlets, the following components must be installed:

IBM WebSphere Portal Server Version 6.1.
WebFOCUS Business Intelligence Dashboard Version 7 Release 7.02. For more information, see the WebFOCUS and ReportCaster Installation and Configuration for Windows manual.
Note: The IBM WebSphere Application Server does not support WebFOCUS Version 5.2.x. However, you still can install and register WebFOCUS Portlets on the IBM WebSphere Portal Server.

USE_GATEWAY Parameter

The WebFOCUS Open Portal Services Gateway is not supported for the IBM WebSphere Portal Server. As a result, you must log in to the WebFOCUS Administration Console and change the value of the USE_GATEWAY parameter to NO, as shown in the following image.

Optional Portal Parameters

WebFOCUS Open Portal Services provides the following optional parameters for your portal that must be set using the WebFOCUS Administration Console:

RESTRICT_WOAS_TO_IP
PORTAL_SIGNON_TRIM_WINDOWS_DOMAIN
