This chapter describes how to configure Managed Reporting for external authorization, including relational database management systems (RDBMS), Active Directory, and LDAP directories.

When you configure external authorization, you must also configure either trusted or external authentication, as described in Configuring Managed Reporting for Trusted or External Authentication.
