If a segment is defined as keyed, it must be identified by key value to be updated, or an attempt may have been made to insert a keyed segment without specifying a value for the key.

EDA42002 KEY VALUE FOUND BUT SEGMENT DATA DOES NOT MATCH %1%2

A segment with the unique key value specified exists, but the data in the segment does not match additional data specified in the where clause.

EDA42003 UNIQUE KEY ALREADY EXISTS FOR SEGMENT %1%2

The unique key value specified for insertion already exists.

EDA42004 YOU CANNOT UPDATE THE KEY VALUE FOR SEGMENT %1%2

An attempt was made to update a key value. The segment must be deleted and the new value inserted.

EDA42005 SEGMENT NOT FOUND %1%2

The values specified in the where clause do not match any segment in the database.

EDA42006 MULTIPLE SEGMENTS FOUND %1%2

An attempt was made to update a non-uniquely keyed segment, but more than one segment matches the where clause values.

EDA42007 SEGMENT ALREADY EXISTS %1%2

The update of a uniquely identified, non-unique/no keyed segment would result in a duplicate segment.

EDA42008 SEGMENT IS KEY SENSITIVE ONLY %1%2

Key sensitive segments cannot be inserted or updated, and can only be deleted when they have a unique key.

EDA42009 VARIABLE LEN SEGMENTS NOT SUPPORTED %1%2

The segment was found to have a .CNT field, which is currently not supported.

EDA42010 UNABLE TO RETRIEVE SEGMENT %1%2

A segment had been identified and verified as unique, but when the interface attempted to retrieve the segment for update, the data was found to have been changed.

EDA42011 WRITE PERMISSION DENIED BY ACCESS FILE PARAMETER, WRITE=NO

To update an IMS database using SQL, the access file member must have WRITE=YES coded.

The KEYTYPE parameter for the named segment is invalid. See the IMS/DB interface manual for a list of valid key types.

EDA42102 ERROR - FOR keyword is required. Must be the member in PSBLIB

The CREATE SYNONYM process needs to know what PSB member is in use.

EDA42103 ERROR - FOR keyword value is a maximum of 8 bytes

The FOR keyword is used to specify the member in the PSB lib that you wish to use in the CREATE SYNONYM process. This member name can be a maximum of 8 bytes.

EDA42104 ERROR - CREATE SYNONYM process is out of memory

EDA42105 ERROR - PARMS must be supplied (Cobol FD path, SEGNAME...)

EDA42106 ERROR - PCB number %1%2 not found in PSB %3%4

The DATABASE parameter identifies which PCB number you wish to create a synonym for. However, the PSB specified in the FOR parameter does not contain that many PCBs.

The parameters of the CREATE SYNONYM command specified a segment that is not in the PCB. Verify that the correct psb was used.

In order for an IMS field to be attached to a field in the FD, it must match both the length and offset of the FD field. This may happen when there are redefines in the FD that have been mapped to a separate segment in the Master.

EDA42119 Invalid PCB structure found in PCB %1%2, segment %3%4

The PCB that was selected to create the synonym could not be parsed. This may happen if the DBDGEN for a PCB was incorrect or if the DBDLIB specified was incorrect.
