In order to use the Adapter for Nucleus, the Nucleus database and ODBC must be installed and configured and the path to the Nucleus ODBC libraries directory must be added to SYSTEM LIBRARY PATH. See the SandTechnology Nucleus(r) documentation for more information about requirements for ODBC installation and configuration.
On Windows, the Nucleus environment is set up during the installation of Nucleus.
You can access Nucleus using the NUCINI environment variable and one of the following:
Point the NUCINI variable to the directory where SandTechnology ODBC(r) is installed. For example:
NUCINI=/usr/nucleus/odbc export NUCINI
The ODBCINI variable holds the absolute path to the *.ini file, which describes the Nucleus data sources. For example:
ODBCINI=/usr/ibiuser/odbc/nucodbc.ini export ODBCINI
