FILEDEF Command Under VM

How to:

The VM Server uses the FILEDEF command of the VM/CMS operating system and retrieves the file attribute information from the file. In the case of HOLD, the attributes are adjusted as needed.

CMS FILEDEF dd DISK fn ft fm

where:

dd

Is the logical reference name.

fn

Is the file name.

ft

Is the file type.

fm

Is the file mode.
