Using the Listeners and Special Services Configuration Panes

Listeners

The server provides three special services and three listeners, which are available from the Special Services and Listeners folder of the Configuration/Monitor navigation pane.

In most instances, there is no need to alter the default configurations for these features.

Special Services

The three special services are:

FDS. FOCUS Database Server.
DFM. The Deferred Management Scheduler. For more information, see Configuring for Deferred Management.
SCHEDULER. The Scheduler is used to schedule flows and stored procedures.

Listeners

The three listeners are:

HTTP
TCP
SOAP

These listen for activity on their respective ports.
