You can configure National Language Support (NLS) directly from the DMC. National Language Support enables the connector/server to translate both double- and single-byte National Character sets.

Procedure: How to Configure NLS
  1. From the Tools menu, select Configure NLS.

    The NLS Configuration window opens.

  2. Select a Language from the drop-down menu. (Note that localized versions are noted by an asterisk (*).)

    The default code page in the DMC is set to Unicode.

  3. Click OK.

The NLS Configuration window is available from the Tools menu by selecting Configure NLS.

The NLS Configuration window has the following fields/options:

Select Language

Controls the default value of the code page and the language of server error messages if they are available in translation. The default value is AMENGLISH (American English) on all platforms. Localized versions are noted by an asterisk (*).
