When you receive a server error message, you can perform a trace to find the source of the problem.

Procedure: How to Perform a Trace on Windows
  1. In the iWay Software>iWay 77 DataMigrator Server program folder, select Start Security ON/OFF With Traces from the Diagnostic Functions folder to start the server with traces.
  2. Reproduce the problem you encountered.
  3. In the iWay Software>iWay 77 DataMigrator Server program folder, select Stop.
  4. In the iWay Software>iWay 77 DataMigrator Server program folder, select Diagnostic Functions, then Save Diagnostic. Reply to the prompts to specify a location to save diagnostics and generate a list of the application directories that contain the files used to reproduce the problem.

    A diagnostics archive is created with a default name of sdyymmdd_hhmmss.zip.

  5. Upload the log file to Information Builders.
