The company started to recognize the need for better data after observing record duplication and bearing the risk of client misidentification due to storing client and contract data in multiple databases and systems.

Client data stored in multiple systems. There are different versions of the truth (CRM system and LIFE legacy system).
Low data quality of existing records and those entering the source systems. Client addresses are often incomplete or misspelled.
