The following list describes the MD interfaces.

• Load Operations. Shows a list of load operations defined in batch.xml. It also contains a Run button to launch an operation.

• Export Operations. Shows a list of export operations defined in batch.xml. It also contains a Run button to launch an operation.
• Services. Shows a list of services created, based on the services.xml configuration.

This section describes the operation plan, execution status, and data statistics of MD process monitoring.

Operation Plan

The operation plan shows the order of operations, defined in model.xml, used as an internal workflow of the NME engine. It also allows you to download the operations list for the purpose of NME Task Executor.

The following information is provided:

• Operation. Name of the operation.
• Provides. Refers to the result of the operation.
• Requires. Refers to the result of entity processing, which must be completed before processing the current one.
• Locks. Similar to database locks and useful for parallel processing (Read or ReadWrite access is also shown).

Execution Status

Shows a list of already processed operations for both load and export operations.

• Load Operation. Every load operation in iWay MDS logs its summary information and the following information of each processing subtask:
  • Subtask name
  • Start date and time
  • Finish date and time
  • Duration
  • Detail

  The detail information contains the following:

  • Number of changed records including total number of incoming records (change detection).
  • Number of records at the start of a subtask (cleanse).
  • Number of records at the start of a subtask and number of records affected by processing (match, copyColumns).
  • Number of records at the start of a subtask and number of records affected by processing, leading to the number of records at the end of the subtask (merge).

  The following table describes the subtasks of a batch load.

  Subtask Name	Description
  Data acquisition	This subtask refers to the process and transformation in a load plan during a load operation.
  Change detection	Real-time change detection (also known as delta detection) of incoming data against data already stored in the iWay MDS repository. At this point, only the changed data is processed.
  Master data consolidation	Cleansing, match, copyColumns, and merge subtasks per entity are processed in a given order.
  Committing	Inputting data into the iWay MDS repository.

Export Operation

Every export operation in iWay MDS logs its summary information and the following information of each processing subtask:

• Subtask name
• Start date and time
• Finish date and time
• Duration
• Detail
  • Number of records at the start of the subtask.

The following table describes the subtasks for an export workflow.

Preparing data	This subtask refers to a process of loading (and filtering) data from the iWay MDS repository when an export operation is launched.
Exporting	Process of working with data in an export plan.
Committing	Inputting the data.

Data Statistics

All record statistics are accessible through online services.

• Master Data Statistics. Shows count of active and inactive records per each master entity.
• Instance Data Statistics. Shows count of active and inactive records per each instance entity.
• Detailed Instance Data Statistics. Shows instance data counts per each source system and instance entity.
