Mapping LDAP Roles to iWay BAM Roles

This section describes how to map LDAP roles to iWay BAM roles using the iWay BAM Console. As defined roles in an LDAP system are unlikely to match corresponding roles in iWay BAM, you must map the roles between the LDAP system and iWay BAM.

Procedure: How to Map LDAP Roles to iWay BAM Roles
  1. Login to the iWay BAM Console as an administrator while it is under standard authentication schema against the database.

    The default URL for the iWay BAM Console is:

    http://localhost:8087
  2. Click the Administration tab, select the Settings tab, and then click the Role Mapper tab, as shown in the following image.

  3. Click Add Role Mapper to add new mapping between an LDAP system role and an iWay BAM role.

    The Add New Role Mapper dialog opens, as shown in the following image.

  4. Specify an LDAP role in the LDAP Role field, which would be returned for those users requiring access to the iWay BAM Console, and map it to the iWay BAM role by selecting it from the BAM Role drop-down list.

    You can create multiple mappings between an LDAP and iWay BAM roles.

  5. Click Save Role Mapper.
