Procedure: How to Import a Project Using SVN
  1. Open the Perspective for Version Control.

If it is not added as one your perspectives, add it by clicking the Open Perspective icon, selecting Other, and Choose SVN Repository Exploring from the list. A corresponding icon will appear in the Perspective Switching Panel, and the perspective will be changed to SVN Repositories.

  2. Add a new repository by clicking on the New Repository Location icon in the Navigation Panel.

  3. Fill in all the necessary fields in the New Repositories Location dialogue and then click Finish.

  4. The repository will now be visible in the SVN Repositories perspective and needs to be checked out, for example, the contents of the remote repository need to be copied to your local computer.

To do that, right click the repository and click Check Out. After this the files will be copied to your local computer. The time needed for that will depend on the number of files checked out, their size, and the speed of connection.
