This section provides release notes that are applicable for specific iWay Adapters in iSM Version 6.1.6.
SSL security support has been added to the iWay Emulation Adapter (3270/5250). SSL Version 3.0 and TLS Version 1.0 are supported. The adapter can store server certificates in its own trust store file and can be configured to either automatically accept an unknown server certificate or to prompt the user for approval. The adapter also offers a choice of cipher suites for encryption and integrity checking. If a cipher suite is not selected, then the adapter will negotiate with the tn3270/tn5250 server from the set of cipher suites, using one that both parties support.
This section provides release notes for the iWay Application Adapter for mySAP in iSM Version 6.1.6.
When receiving IDocs from SAP (SAP listener component), the Advanced option for IDoc confirm is exposed. This option can be set to true or false. The default setting is false, which performs no operation. If true is selected, then upon receipt of an IDoc, a STATUS IDoc (SYSTAT01) will be dispatched to the sending party of the IDoc from the header information, with status 12, Dispatch OK. This feature allows for a complete audit trail of IDocs between the SAP server and iWay Application Adapter for mySAP, as IDocs sent from SAP will have status 03, Dispatch OK and all IDocs received through the adapter will, after receipt of the STATUS IDoc, change to status 12. This can be monitored in one location in SAP, using the WE02 transaction. Failed IDocs can be tracked or resent using the sm58 transaction.
Note: When this feature is used, resources are consumed to prepare and send the Status IDoc. You may want to consider alternatives, such as using collected IDocs, in high volume environments.
When receiving IDocs from SAP (SAP listener component), it is possible in the SAP Partner Profile (WE20 transaction) on the SAP server to change the release of the segment version of the IDoc when sending to a partner with a lower release level of SAP. For example, if the sending SAP release is 700, but the IDoc receiving partner is on SAP release 46C, then the entry for segment version in the partner profile should be 46C. This ensures that the IDoc is not sent with extra fields that the partner system will not understand.
When composing an IDoc from data sent from SAP, the adapter needs access to the correct version of the metadata for the IDoc being sent. In the mySAP listener configuration, IDoc release provider is now exposed for the Advanced option. If you select Automatic check, the adapter will read the partner profile of the IDoc receiver, and select the correct version of the metadata automatically without further configuration. This is done the first time an IDoc type for a partner is detected and cached, so performance impact is minimal.
The following configuration options are available:
In the SAP system, most remote function modules are implicit commit, which means that a commit is triggered on the database when the end of the remote function is encountered. There are times when you may require to issue an explicit commit to achieve control of the commit process if performing a program call or other command. During target creation for an SAP connection, two new parameters are now available to control commit functionality:
If IDocs are received from a Logical System where the Partner Profile has a release that is not the current logon SAP release, and either the CDATA option or Native IDoc format option is selected, then the IDoc Segment Version must be provided through the Auto Detect IDoc Segment feature or user input. The XML IDoc format does not have this restriction.
The iWayPluginstallationtool.exe file is located in a directory where the iwCRMPlugin.zip archive file is extracted. If you separate the installation tools from the event plugin, then the file Microsoft.crm.sdk.dll file must be in this directory for the tool to function.
The com.ibi.mscrm.dll and Microsoft.Crm.Sdk.dll files reside in the [EXTRACTDIR]\assembly subdirectory.
In this configuration, the Microsoft.Crm.Sdk.dll file must reside in both locations.
You can also copy all of the files in one location and modify the file patch using the crm.plugin.path configuration file variable.
This section provides release notes that are applicable for specific iWay E-Business Adapters in iSM Version 6.1.6. For more information, see the iWay Integration Solution for EDI User's Guide, iWay Integration Solution for SWIFT User's Guide, and iWay Integration Solution for HIPAA User's Guide.
iSM Version 6.1.6 is the first release that supports SWIFT 2012. Core documents with updates are listed under the SWIFT 2012 supported version. Note that many documents did not have any updates in SWIFT 2012, and remain unchanged since SWIFT 2011. For additional information and available Ebix file downloads, go to http://techsupport.ibi.com.
Due to component requirements, SWIFT will no longer be supported on any releases prior to iSM Version 6.1.6. New versions of SWIFT will only be supported in the current release of iSM.
Due to component requirements, the following SWIFT adapter components are deprecated:
If you are still running any of these SWIFT adapter components that are listed, they will function in iSM Version 6.1.6, but are unsupported. However, they will be removed in the next version of iSM.
com.ibi.edaqm.XDEDIError.setData_element_syntax_code(I)V - No such method error.
If you receive this error, rename or remove the iwhl7.jar file from the \lib directory.
If you decide to use the second workaround, it is recommended that you open a support case with customer support unless you are extremely familiar with ebix structures.
