Installing the iWay RVI Proxy Extension

How to:

To install the iWay RVI Proxy, you must add the Gateway extension to your iWay Service Manager instance during the iWay Service Manager installation. For more information on installing iWay Service Manager, see the iWay Installation and Configuration Guide.

However, if you have already installed iWay Service Manager, you can also add the Gateway extension by modifying the existing iWay Service Manager installation.

After the Gateway extension is installed, the attach point listener, gateway listener, and relay agent are added to the design-time Registry and runtime configurations.

This section describes how to add the Gateway extension by modifying an existing iWay Service Manager installation.

Procedure: How to Add the Gateway Extension

Since there are unique Gateway components required for the Relay and Executor iWay Service Manager instances, the Gateway extension must be added to both for proper operation.

To add the Gateway extension:

  1. Open the Windows Control Panel and double-click Add or Remove Programs.

The Add or Remove Programs dialog box opens.

  2. Select iWay 6.0.1 Service Manager and click the Change/Remove button.

    The following dialog box opens.

  3. Select Add/Reinstall components and click Next.

The iWay 6.0.1 Service Manager Choose Components dialog box opens..

  4. Expand the Extensions group, select the check box for iWay Gateway, and click Next.
  5. Click Finish.
  6. Stop and restart iWay Service Manager.

Note: You must perform a hard restart. Using the Restart function in the iWay Service Manager Administration Console is not sufficient.

  7. Repeat this procedure for all the Relay and Executor machines that will be incorporated into the cluster.
