This section lists the enhancements related to EDI X12 components that are applicable to iWay Service Manager in iWay Release 6.0.1 Service Manager.

Resolved Issues

HIPAA Manual has been updated.
Introduction of new-named components for HIPPA processing to use the same components as X12. For support purposes, and since HIPAA is an X12 subversion, HIPAA documents will process the same as X12. This means that all of the standard SREGs are available and the preemitter can run in the pflow. A new set of standard HIPAA channels accompanies this release. (ISM-1403)
Inbound 997 with TA1 is supported through the standalone batch splitter, not the splitter preparser. If the splitter is needed, run the standalone splitter in a separate channel prior to the splitter preparser. (IFS-1163)
Files with mixed standards (i.e. EDIFACT and X12 in the same batch) are supported in this release with the standalone batch splitter. (ISM-2702)
HIPAA 997 now correctly identifies out-of-sequence segments. (ISM-2785)
HIPAA HL segment checking corrected. (ISM-2788)
All Preparsers modified to properly handle EDIFACT UNA segment. (ISM-3276)
X12 255 document looping corrected. (IFS-1050)
Validation report modified to encapsulate error messages in CDATA to allow display of validation report in MS Internet Explorer. System generated error messages may contain characters that are not HTML friendly. (IFS-1079, IRN for Prym)
HIPPA 997 corrected. The correct 997 document to use for HIPPA is the one in the 4010 X12 ebix. There is no 997 in the 004010 HIPPA standard. A HIPPA only customer must have an ebix with the 4010 997 attached to an inbound channel in order to process inbound 997 for FA Reconciliation. (IFS-1086, 51032520)
Modified preparsers and preemitter to distinguish 278 Response and Request. (IFS-1111)
Partially repaired composite elements in 837I schema. Note:You may encounter issues with composite elements in the schemas in other documents. This issue will be addressed in a future release. (IFS-1127)
If a document contains transformer run-time functions in an outbound process, those functions may cause false validation errors during rules processing. A work-around methodology is available. (IFS-1153, 51132515)
Enhanced rules checking for HIPAA documents to include rules classes from X12 processing. Not all checks may function properly, and the work-around is to edit the rules files and insert the desired rules. This issue will be resolved in a future release. At a minimum, all documents now correctly count and validate the number of segments in a document, the number of documents in a group and the number of groups in an interchange. (IFS-1157)
Corrected issue with HL04 level checking where child was present but the HL04 was incorrectly populated. (IFS-1178)
Corrected issue with umläud present in EDIFACT documents. (IFS-1187, 51202005)

Known Issues

com.ibi.edaqm.XDEDIError.setData_element_syntax_code(I)V - No such method error. This error is caused by a conflict of classes having the same name in iwhl7.jar and iwedi.jar. If you get this error, rename or remove the iwhl7.jar from the \lib directory. (ISM-2486)
X12 and EDIFACT metadata continue to be generated programmatically. A new delivery method will be provided in a future release. Until then, any "missing" metadata can be provided upon request.
There is no supported EDIFACT acknowledgement agent for either CONTROL or APERAK. A work-around is available.
EDIFACT documents may not validate correctly with older metadata. (ISM-200, ISM-201)
X12 BIN segment is not supported in this release. (ISM-250)
Zone decimal transformation is not supported in this release as a feature. It is possible to work-around this issue by hard-coding the field in the transformation to convert zone decimals to real or numeric decimals, or to add a custom java external subroutine. (ISM-439)
Blank spaces (hex 20) as element or subelement separator cause java errors.
X12 data that is transformed to XML and then transformed back to X12 may contain tags in one sequence in the input document and in a different sequence in the resulting document. For example, the order of REF segments is not guaranteed.
Standard document processing always creates 997. Currently there is no standard methodology to create 997 by trading partner or turn off all 997. This will be addressed in a future release.
At the document level, only 997 are available. If trading partners want group or interchange level 997, additional user transformation will be necessary.
Processing large documents may result in an out of memory java error (ISM-870). The standard splitter of Information Builders will read multiple interchanges from a single file, and will read multiple single documents from an interchange. Information Builders does not currently support a standard solution to split a single large document into smaller pieces for processing. Several workarounds exist depending on the document and the data being passed.
iTM integration will be included in a future release .(ISM-975)
Errors in parsing data return input document for error routing in Base 64 rather than CDATA. (ISM-1266)
Each custom transform must be in its own directory / folder / project. Transformer will not allow saving more than one GXP to a directory. (ISM-1530)
Outbound channels with embedded pflows that contain transforms may not run rules validation as expected. There are two possible work-arounds. First, break your channel into two channels (one with the transform, one with the preemitter.) Second, modify the ebix for this transform to change X12-PACKAGE.XML to run outbound validation. If you chose to take the later option, we suggest you open a support case unless you are extremely familiar with the ebix structure.
The behavior of the XDXMLSplitterIterator will change in a future release. This component is used within the SDQ explosion to create and transform multiple output documents. The current behavior now drops the iterated to the bottom of the output document. In the future the iterated portion will remain in the same location in the outbound document. The only repair required (to the SDQ splitters) will be to modify and rebuild the transforms that run after the iterator in the pflow and to rebuild the channel. Further detailed instructions for repair will accompany the release of modified software. (ISM-2308)
"Tidy Print" may cause false validation errors on outbound documents. Information Builders suggests not to reformat the XML with any non-iWay software before processing through preemitters.

iWay e-Business Adapter for SWIFT

This section provides information about the iWay e-Business Adapter for SWIFT for Release 6.0.1 Service Manager.

iWay support for the SWIFT 2009 standard includes the changes listed and described in this section. XML format structure and tag names will remain unchanged for SWIFT 2009.

Fix in XDIWAYSWIFTXML Transform Agent to update the iwaf.validationSuccess SREG properly in a process flow.
SWIFT 2009 relating to ISO currency codes and country codes. The code update source was obtained from the SWIFT Web site knowledge base.
