Toolbar Icons

In this section:

When you start Designer for the first time, a toolbar appears beneath the main menu bar by default. The toolbar is divided into two categories, the Standard toolbar and the Object toolbar. The Object toolbar is further divided into three categories, as follows:

Although the toolbar appears as a single unit, the toolbar categories are delineated by a vertical bar. You can drag and drop the vertical bar to place a toolbar category on a separate line or space it from the other toolbars within the toolbar area of the window.

Basic Objects Toolbar

The Basic objects toolbar provides fundamental options for working with objects in a process flow. The following image shows the icons that make up the Basic objects toolbar.

The following table lists and describes the icons found on the Basic objects toolbar. See Defining Objects in a Process Flow for a detailed description of each object.

Relation - use to draw a line that represents the relationship between two objects in a process flow.

Loop - a special type of Relation (also called a line or edge) that works in conjunction with an Iterator object to repeat certain portions of a process flow over selected portions of one input document.
