SmartMode helps you manage your reporting activity. You can use it as a report monitor that predicts the resource costs of reports, compares the costs to pre-defined thresholds, and either allows the reports to run or prohibits their running, based on this comparison. You can also use SmartMode's reporting capability to obtain detailed information about the types of reports being requested, their use of system resources, and some threshold testing for governing.
This manual provides information about the installation and operation of SmartMode and is intended for persons managing SmartMode's operation. The following is an outline of the contents of this manual.
