About the ISETUP Procedure

The ISETUP procedure is an interactive process that uses ISPF panels. If you are:

ISETUP does not allow you to overwrite your current production FOCUS data sets with new versions. You must supply new high-level qualifiers for the updated maintenance version of FOCUS. ISETUP uses these high-level qualifiers to create the new release libraries.

Information You Must Have Before Executing the ISETUP Procedure

Before executing ISETUP, make sure you have the following information:

Which FOCUS options are installed at your site. For example, you must know which of the optional data adapters (Interfaces) are used, such as DB2 or ADABAS. Each of these has an installation guide that you must be familiar with and have available in order to complete the upgrade or maintenance refresh.
The location of all of the libraries required by FOCUS. These are originally shipped as:
- FOCLIB.LOAD
- FUSELIB.LOAD
- FUSELIB.DATA
- ERRORS.DATA
- FOCCTL.DATA
- FOCEXEC.DATA
- MASTER.DATA

Note: These libraries will be referenced through a high-level qualifier either in the ISETUP panels, through the DSNTAB member of FOCCTL.DATA, or through the FOCSNAME member of ISETUP.DATA (which is described in Invoke ISETUP).
