Depending on the security needs of your organization, the following settings in the Data Server folder of the ReportCaster Configuration tab (see Data Servers Settings) may be used to affect owner and Execution credentials. These settings may be different for each WebFOCUS Reporting Server:

Security Type. Possible values are Static, User, Shared, Trusted or Passthrough. This setting applies only to Execution credentials.

• Static. Valid Execution credentials must be supplied in the User setting in the Data Server folder of the ReportCaster Configuration tab. The User setting is used as the Execution credentials for all schedules running on the server.
• User. Valid Execution credentials must be specified for the WebFOCUS Reporting Server when creating a schedule.
• Shared. When creating a schedule, the Execution and ReportCaster owner credentials are the same.

  Note: This setting does not appear in the Security Type list if the Caster Remote Authenticated setting in the Security Settings folder is set to Yes or HTTP Header.

• Trusted or Passthrough. The Execution ID and the ReportCaster owner ID are the same and no password is required to connect to the WebFOCUS Reporting Server. Trusted security is not supported when the WebFOCUS Reporting Server resides on a Windows platform.

Note: If you change the Security Type setting to User after a schedule was created with a Static Execution ID, the schedule will not run because it will not find Execution credentials in the ReportCaster Repository. The solution is to add the Execution ID and password using the ReportCaster Development Interface (for details, see the ReportCaster Development and Library Content manual). However, you should avoid changing the Security Type.
