The following are upgrade considerations and product
changes for Magnify:
-
As
of Version 7 Release 7, the following Magnify files are located
in a new directory:
- The following Magnify
settings are no longer available in the General Settings menu under
the Magnify section of the WebFOCUS Administration Console:
- magnify_generate_deltas
- magnify_deltas_dir
- magnify_stylesheet
- The upgrade installation
creates a backup of the Magnify files in the following directories:
- Magnify configuration
files are located in the \ibi\7702_backup\config\magnify folder.
- Magnify index libraries
are located in the magnify_upgrade_date folder. However,
if you choose to overwrite the current Magnify index library folder,
the install will replace the directory with default Magnify index
libaries.
- If you are overwriting
the current Magnify folders, the deprecated folders in Version 7
Release 7.02 are not removed. The \ibi\WebFOCUS\magnify\deltas and \ibi\WebFOCUS\magnify\config
folders must be deleted manually.
- To use the Century
Electronics demo index libraries installed in Version 7 Release
7.02 , backup and remove the current demo index libraries. For more information
on configuring the Century Electronics demo, see the Magnify Security
and Administration Manual Version 7 Release 7.02.
- When upgrading your
collections from Version 7 Release 7.01 to Version 7 Release 7.02,
you must configure them using the collections_descriptions and collections_values
parameters in the \ibi\WebFOCUS\config\magnify\locale_stylesheet.xslt
file.
- For Version 7 Release
7.02, the magnify_recordlimit default parameter value in the WebFOCUS
Administration Console is 300. For 7.7.01 and earlier and when using
the upgrade installation to upgrade to Version 7.7.02, the default
value is 1000.
- The \ibi\WebFOCUS\magnify\config
directory is no longer available. All Magnify configuration files
are now located in \ibi\WebFOCUS\config\magnify.
- The Query Score calculation
is now a percentage value.
- When using facet
counts, previously indexed data must be re-indexed to be included
in the count.
