The WebFOCUS Application Programming Interface (API) provides access to WebFOCUS and Managed Reporting functionality independent of WebFOCUS and Managed Reporting user interfaces. Using the WebFOCUS API, developers can:

• Create a customized look and feel for WebFOCUS reporting tools and applications.
• Extend a current application so that it can use WebFOCUS reporting services.
• Create JSPs that make use of the WebFOCUS reporting services.

The WebFOCUS API can be accessed using various Java technologies, including JavaServer Pages, Java Servlets, or the WebFOCUS WFServlet.
