With the Power Painter tool, you can:
- Create a
Compound Report, which is a reporting document that contains multiple
reports and charts.
- Create a
Coordinated Compound Report, which is a compound document where
the report is collectively sorted and collated by a common sort
group.
- Create exact
positioning requirements by adjusting the layout properties in the canvas.
- Position
report objects and elements relative to each other and the page.
- Style reporting
elements individually by applying a Style Sheet, theme, or conditional
styling rules.
- Access and
create Compound Reports using multiple data sources to build reports and
perform ad hoc analysis.
- Develop reports
using real-time data or sample data and limit the number of records
for the entire report, individual reports, or individual graphs.
This tool is only available with Managed
Reporting and has multiple access points, which are from MR Dashboard,
MR Domain Builder applet, and the MR User Management tree in MR
Domain Builder. For more information, see Accessing Power Painter.
Note: If you manually edit a procedure created with Power
Painter, do not delete or modify the internal comments located at
the top of the procedure. Modifying these comments, or any content
of the procedure, could produce unpredictable results when you open
the procedure with Power Painter. In general, we do not recommend
that you manually edit a procedure.
