ReportCaster includes several Plug-ins that you can customize to fit the needs of your application. The interfaces available for implementation are documented in the ReportCaster API Help under the package ibi.broker.scheduler.plugin. When configuring a ReportCaster Plug-in setting, enter the fully-qualified Java classname that implements the interface in the ReportCaster configuration tool. The jar file containing this class must be in the Classpath of both the Distribution Server and the ReportCaster Web Application. The Distribution Server classpath is controlled by the Classpath bat or script file in the ReportCaster bin directory. Refer to your application server to modify the ReportCaster application Classpath. The interfaces are:

• Repository Connection Plug-In (DBLocatorExit). Implement the methods getDatabaseURL, getDatabaseUser and getDatabasePassword to dynamically retrieve the ReportCaster repository connection information from your plug-in instead of the ReportCaster configuration file.

• Job Status Notification Plug-in (JobListener). Implement the processJob method to have the Distribution Server perform some action (such as, notifying a Web Service) at the completion and or start of a scheduled job.
• Zip Encryption Password Plug-in (SCHZipEncryptionPassword). Implement the methods isZipEnabled, setSchedule, and getPassword to retrieve a password to create an encrypted Zip file for distribution.
• SFTP Security Plug-in (SFTPSecurityExit). Implement the methods isPublicKeyAuthenticationEnabled, getSshPrivateFormattedKey, and getPassphrase to retrieve the key and optionally the passphrase needed to connect to a secure FTP server.
• SMTP Security Plug-in (SMTPSecurityExit). Implement the methods isSMTPAuthenticationEnabled and getPasswordAuthentication to retrieve the information needed to connect to a secure SMTP server.
