User Management Tree Object

When a Managed Reporting Administrator logs into Managed Reporting from Developers Studio, the WebFOCUS environment includes a User Management tree object. (The User Management tree object is also available in Domain Builder.) The User Management tree contains a node for each user, regardless of whether or not they have created any reports. The Managed Reporting Administrator can also access reports created by inactive users in order to review or delete their reports. The following image is an example of an expanded User Management tree showing a series of user nodes.

Note: The User Management tree displays only for Managed Reporting Administrators. It is not available to Managed Reporting Developers.

Each user node contains a User’s Reports folder that contains the domains to which that user has access. The following image shows that user Adam Abernathy has access to the AAA Grinds Corp and Corporate Reporting domains, while user Beth Brooks has access to Best Brew Inc and Corporate Reporting domains.

To view the reports belonging to a specific user, expand a domain folder. The folders listed under the domain folder contain all types of My Reports belonging to that user, including Custom Reports, Saved Deferred output, Save Parameter reports, and distributed ReportCaster output. The following image shows the reports for user Adam Abernathy, under the AAA Grinds Corp domain, in the Saved Parameter Reports folder. The Saved Parameter Reports folder is selected in the left pane, and a list of the reports that reside in that folder are displayed in the right pane.

When the MR Administrator accesses the User Management tree component, the display is a snapshot of the Managed Reporting information available at the time they logged in. However, Managed Reporting is a dynamic system. Users, domains, and reports are constantly being added, deleted, or changed. To view the most current data:
