The XFOCUS database format has been added to the Report Painter Options Output tab. You can use this option to create an XFOCUS data source for further processing in an application. The XFOCUS data source is a database structure that parallels the FOCUS data source, but extends beyond its capabilities with several significant performance and data volume improvements.

The XFOCUS database (XFOCUS) option on the Report Painter Report Options Output tab is placed in the list after the FOCUS option, as shown in the following image.

When you select XFOCUS database (XFOCUS), the tool generates the following code:

ON TABLE HOLD AS filename FORMAT XFOCUS
