Real Time Data Flows. File Listener support will be enhanced in Version 7 Release 7 to support flat file sources that will be able to support both binary and character data.
Note that in Release 76x, a flat file source of the Real Time Data Flow must contain all character data. That is, all columns must be described with an actual of An and each line must have an end of line indicator.
In release 76x, a file listener flow of the Real Time Data Flow runs continuously by listening for files to arrive in a directory and then processing them. A file listener flow never stops running until the agent (or the listener or the server) is stopped. Only once the agent has stopped is the flow complete, and the statistics and complete log become available.
Flows. If a flow is created in Version 7 Release 6.1 and is later opened and saved in a later release of 76x, you must save it a second time. If the flow is not saved twice, the results of the flow run will not be consistent. If a flow created in Version 7 Release 6.1 is not opened in later releases of 76x, it will run with no issues.
This issue affects release 76x, starting from Version 7 Release 6.4, and is applicable to a data flow with a Delimited Flat file (DFIX).
This problem is corrected in Version 7 Release 7.
Application name character limit. The DataMigrator documentation (for 76x releases) incorrectly states that the limit for an Application name is 18 characters. The correct limit is 64 characters.
