iWay Hierarchy Manager Overview

Overview

iWay Hierarchy Manager is a plug-in for Eclipse that is used to create and maintain hierarchies within a hierarchy management system. Specifically, this plug-in provides design-time interfaces for Eclipse development environments.

The following image shows a sample hierarchy opened in the workspace area of iWay Hierarchy Manager and the general layout of this plug-in.

Key Features and Advantages

Key features and advantages that are provided through iWay Hierarchy Manager include:

Ease of use through a unified Eclipse-based toolset (iWay Integration Tools). This provides a consistent user experience across the iWay 7 suites from the perspective of user interfaces, technologies, and methods.
A drag-and-drop workspace area to easily add preconfigured components to build and develop product hierarchies and categories, organizational structures, and more.
Provides the following wizards to easily create and edit the primary project components:
- Tree Navigator. Visualizes the current hierarchy structured by different functional specialties of its nodes.
- Graph Viewer. Designs and previews hierarchies.

Caching of dynamic data (data retrieved from external data sources) is supported. It is one of several internal mechanisms that are used to speed up the development time of the hierarchy.

The iWay Hierarchy Manager plug-in is delivered as a .zip archive that includes all of the resources required to install the plug-in on any Eclipse-based environment.
