This section provides an introduction and overview to the iWay Master Data Server (MDS) upgrade process from version 8 to version 9.0.1 or higher.

This upgrade procedure is designed for the General CDI project only. The Transactional CDI project is not supported. The upgrade procedure is also designed for iWay MDS using the NME engine (not applicable for MNU) and provides the general approach. However, each upgrade process is different because of custom model projects in the iWay MDS version.
