Displays the contents of a directory or a file.
To use type, issue the following command:
type <filename> [-hex] [-from <lowaddr>] [-to <highaddr>]
where:
Is the absolute path or relative path to your current configuration. If a directory name is given, then the directory list is displayed. For example:
Enter command:>type c:/docs/a.xml
<sign> equals </sign>

-from | Displays only from the line (non-hex) or byte offset (hex) value in decimal. |
-to | Displays only to the line (non-hex) or byte offset(hex) value in decimal. |
