Upon the successful installation of iWay DQS, the following
additional documentation is available to further assist users with
using iWay DQS:
-
iWay DQS User Guide. The iWay DQS User Guide provides information
on all basic processes and functions of the application and is ideally
suited for users who wish to become familiar with all the major
iWay DQS features and their uses. A PDF file is located directly
in the folder where iWay DQS was installed.
-
iWay DQS In-product Reference Documentation. The Help
System within the GUI application, available through the Help Contents
from the Help menu option, contains a comprehensive listing of all
functions (both basic and advanced usage) within the iWay DQS application,
along with examples that aid users in understanding both the theoretical
and practical principles being applied. This section also includes
its own built-in version of the above-mentioned PDF file.
-
Context-sensitive In-product Help. Pressing F1 anywhere
in the application brings up the relevant page from the Reference
Documentation or User Guide, depending on the context in which you
are currently viewing. For example, when editing a step in the Step
Dialog, pressing F1 opens the documentation for that step.
-
Tooltips. In both the Step Dialog and Expression input
boxes, moving the cursor over an element presents the relevant information
(including documentation) available for it. This includes the step
parameter description, documentation for functions, and metadata
for dataflow commands. The following images shows these functions
being used, first in a Step Dialog, then in an Expression Input
box.
