This section describes prerequisites for an iWay Data
Profiler (iDP) installation on Linux where an Oracle Real Application
Clusters (RAC) database will be used as the repository.
- WebFOCUS is tested and documented using Korn Shell (ksh)
as the default logon shell. WebFOCUS scripts (executed as part of
the iDP installation) require ksh, which is not installed
with Linux by default.
- Ensure that a schema called idp_data is created and exists
in the Oracle RAC database that will be used with iDP for a successful
WebFOCUS Client installation.
- Obtain the current Oracle System ID (SID) and Service Name values
for the Oracle RAC database from your administrator.
- Download the ojdbc7.jar database driver from the Oracle
website if you do not already have a copy.
