The procedures in this document require the following
prerequisites:
- iWay Service Manager (iSM) version 6.x or higher with iWay
Designer installed and operational on a host system.
- Access to a database engine with a user ID that has permissions
to create, select, insert, and, update tables.
- Connectivity between iSM and a database server.
- A JDBC
driver class name that is specific to the database engine being used.
- A URL that is specific to a network configuration.
- A valid user ID and password.
- Experience writing SQL queries using parameters in select, insert,
or update statements.
- A third-party query tool to test and execute SQL statements.
- An understanding of XML documents and how to compose XPath statements
to access nodes.
- Electronic access to this getting started document (as a PDF
for example) to cut and paste any required content.
This document does not provide detailed instructions how to use
iWay Service Manager (iSM), iSM tools (iWay Designer), database,
or SQL.
