Designing and developing prepared SQL statements for an SQL object in iWay Designer can be tedious, especially when data is sourced from one or more XML documents in a process flow.

This document provides step-by-step instructions on how to map XML document nodes to input parameters of SQL statements in an SQL object that is part of a process flow. This process flow will be used as a route in a channel configured in iWay Service Manager (iSM) that implements a File listener to trigger a collection of an XML document and insert a record into a table with data that is referenced from the XML data source.

The same concepts and strategies that are provided in this document can be reused in a larger project and implemented with multiple data sources.
