This section contains installation notes pertaining
to iWay Software Development Kit (SDK) Version 6.1.6.
- iWay Software Development Kit (SDK) 6.1.6 requires Java®
1.6 as the minimum run-time environment.
Note: The iWay
SDK 6.1.6 installation requires Java Version 1.6.0_17 or higher.
You must verify that this version is available on your system before
installing iWay SDK 6.1.6.
- iWay SDK 6.1.6 requires Apache™ ANT Version 1.7.1 or higher
to be installed and configured on your system.
- iWay SDK 6.1.6 requires ANT Contrib Version 1.0 or higher to
be installed on your system. You can download ANT Contrib from the
following website:
http://ant-contrib.sourceforge.net/
- iWay SDK 6.1.6 can be installed in the same environment where
iSM 6.1.6 is installed. In that case, the iSM installation may require
patching under certain requirements. For more information, see Known Issues.
- iWay SDK 6.1.6 requires Administrative rights for installation
and runtime. If you are installing iWay SDK 6.1.6 on Windows® Vista,
note that the User Account Control (UAC) mode is enabled by default.
UAC is a special mode of operation available on Windows Vista that
affects the functionality of administrator accounts. To avoid any errors
that deny access, you must grant permission to the iWay SDK 6.1.6
installation program to use administrator privileges. As a workaround,
right-click the iwaySDK616.exe file and select Run
as administrator from the context menu.
If you are
installing iWay SDK 6.1.6 on Windows 7, you must lower UAC settings accordingly
to enable iSM install to use administrative privileges as well.
In general, UAC center should enable you to either lower or disable
security settings and enable administrative privileges for installation
of iWay SDK 6.1.6.
- iWay SDK 6.1.6 installation for Windows (iwaySDK616.exe) is
a 32-bit installation program and when installed on a 64-bit platform,
it cannot be installed under the C:\Program Files\ directory. The
installer will automatically change the installation location to
C:\Program Files (x86)\. If the user installs to any other Windows
location not under the Program Files structure, no additional handling
will be done by the installation program and the install will proceed
with no change.
- Installation of iWay SDK 6.1.6 release into a non-empty directory
is not supported. The iWay SDK 6.1.6 release must be installed into
a preexistent empty directory or into a nonexistent directory, in
which case, the directory will be created by the installer.
- iWay SDK 6.1.6 Windows installer supports only ASCII characters
for the user provided information for the install (for example,
Company Name).
- The iWay SDK 6.1.6 installation contains the following directories:
-
\ant. Contains Ant script file tools.xml for enhanced
Ant script patterns.
-
\build. Contains a build utility that uses Ant tasks
found in iwscript (\lib directory). It also contains a \configurations
directory, which contains a set of build and deploy configurations
to be used by the build utility, and a \projects directory that
contains iIT Eclipse-based projects. Within the \configurations directory,
sample targets default.properties and WASCE.properties, as well
as corresponding \iway\default and \iway\WASCE configurations, are
available. Each of these configurations contains a \war directory
that includes WEB-INF and META-INF folders to be merged during the
BUILDWAR task, and a \scripts directory containing scripting API.
The configuration also contains \dist directory that serves as a
build destination for the iIA and WAR files built by the utility
and \scripts directory containing user.xml script that allows user-defined
customization of pre-execution and post-execution instructions.
Target property files are Ant property files used to manage build
and deployment options as name-value pairs.
-
\config. Contains the iSM server configuration directory.
-
\etc. Contains the documentation directory that provides
Javadoc and scripting documentation. A licenses directory holds
license files for iWay SDK including those for third-party open
source distributions, as well as sample directory and configuration
files.
-
\lib. Contains a set of iWay support .jars for iwscript.jar,
which is a central interface to build and deploy iWay applications.
- The environment variable IWSDK616 that is referenced by the
build utility (build.cmd) indicates the home directory of the build
environment. Defining or changing IWSDK616 when you need to move
environments enables support of multiple build directories on a
single system.
- iWay SDK 6.1.6 includes scripting documentation, which is located
in the following directory:
iWaySDKHome\etc\doc\iwscript\ant
- iWay SDK 6.1.6 includes Javadoc, which is located in the following
directory:
iWaySDKHome\etc\doc\iwscript\api
