If the Catalog template is selected, then a new hierarchy project will be created with the following structure in the Design tab, as noted by the numbers in the corresponding image.

1. Root node
2. Dynamic node placeholders(s)
3. Static node(s)

To view the hierarchy and replace the design placeholder(s) with run-time data available in the targeted data sources, click the Preview Hierarchy icon in the tool bar, or click the Preview tab, as shown in the following image.

For the Catalog generic template, the iWay Hierarchy Manager plugin creates flat file data sources. These data sources are automatically generated by default in the following locations:

• C:\Users\username\AppData\Local\Temp\hier_temp1553356812975657\Events.csv

  where:

  Is a specific user name based on system properties.

To find the exact location of data sources that are generated on your system, select any Dynamic node and click the Properties tab, as shown in the following image.
