This section describes how to edit the root, static,
dynamic, and entity nodes.
You can edit the node data source and criteria in three different
ways, as listed below.
- Clicking Edit... from the Edit Dynamic
Node pane.
For example, to edit a dynamic node from the Editor:
- Click on the Design view and open the Hierarchy Manager pane.
- Expand the Design folder and then right-click on an object and
select Edit... from the context menu, as
shown in the following image.
- In the Edit Dynamic Node pane, select Edit... to configure
Data Source Profile.
- Clicking on the Properties tab and then selecting Edit....
For
example, to edit a dynamic node from the Editor:
- Click
on the properties tab, and then click on the Info component tab
in the left pane.
- Click the Edit... button to configure
the Data Source Profile.
- Selecting either the Properties or Edit... option
after right-clicking on a node in the Objects folder in the Hierarchy
Manager pane.
For example, to edit a dynamic node from the Hierarchy
Manager pane:
- Expand the Design and Objects folder
and right-click a node.
- Select either the Properties or the Edit option
from the context menu.
- Click the Edit... button to configure
the Data Source Profile.
The Edit dialog box, Properties page, and Properties view shows
all of the information about the node, including its name, parent(s),
description, attributes, and dependencies. The user can change any
of the information shown.
