iWay Business Services Provider (iBSP) consists of the
following components:
-
iWay Business Services Provider is
the server that exchanges SOAP messages with a Web services client
application. iBSP also hosts many adapters and can communicate with
adapters hosted by other servers. It can be installed on Windows,
UNIX, or mainframe computers. When installed on Windows, it runs
as a Windows Service, but can also run as a stand-alone Java application.
-
iWay Explorer is
an independent Java application. It works with adapters to create
schemas and business services for use with the iWay Connector for
JCA or iBSP. iWay Explorer supports access to several Enterprise
Information Systems (EIS). Although the underlying technology that
is used to access the systems varies significantly from EIS to EIS,
the iWay Explorer user interface varies only slightly to accommodate
the differences.
