Before starting the migration process, verify that the iWay Service Manager is installed on the target server and that it passes the Installation Verification Procedure (IVP). See iWay Service Manager User's Guide for information on the IVP.

There are two scenarios under which the migration can take place:

• There is connectivity between the original server and the target server
• There is no connectivity, and a staging area exists where the data being migrated can be temporarily placed for retrieval by the target server.
