Running iWay Service Manager in Server VM Mode

On a Windows 32-bit system you can enable the server VM mode option by adding -server to Java Settings (Startup) in the iWay Service Manager Administration Console, as shown in the following image.

After you have set this option, you must stop and then start the iSM (JVM) instance.

Important: The -server entry must be the first entry in the list of JVM options.

On Linux/UNIX systems, the following script change is required:

java $REMDBG -cp $CLASSPATH -DIWAY55=$IWAY55SM –server -
Diwaysoftware.af.idocument=com.ibi.edaqm.XDDocument edaqm -config $SCRIPT
$2 $3 $4 $5 $6

After you have set this option, you must stop and then start the iSM (JVM) instance.

Please note that the -JVM option from the iWay Service Manager Administration Console will not work.

Tip: If you set the option to use the server VM mode and iSM fails to start, verify that the server folder is in the correct JRE directory.
