This section describes how to prepare and install the iWay Log Event Adapter for MS SQL on the client machine.

1. Execute the i60100SM50025.exe file.

   This installation utility copies all the files that are required by the Log Event Adapter into the appropriate directories.

2. iWay Service Manager must also be installed in the following 32-bit directory structure:

   C:\Program Files (x86)\iWay60

3. Stop iWay Service Manager once it is installed.

After installation, the following subdirectory is created:

<iway_home>\etcsetup\cdc

The following subdirectories are available under the \CDC directory:

• <iway_home>\etc\setup\cdc\MSSQLServer\client
• <iway_home>\etc\setup\cdc\MSSQLServer\server

The <iway_home>/lib subdirectory contains the following files:

• iwdotnet.jar
• iwdotnet32.dll
• iwclr32.dll

Note: Visual C++ Redistributable 2005 is a prerequisite for the iWay Log Event Adapter for Microsoft SQL (MS SQL). If this is not already installed on the client and server machines, you can install it by executing the vcredist_x86.exe file, which is located in the \client or \server subdirectories.

After installation is complete, you must configure the DOTNet Adapter using Application Explorer. During configuration of the adapter target, the Assemblies Directory must point to the following directory:
