The Rssforeal demo application is designed to illustrate how to read, analyze, and visualize data collected from an arbitrary RSS feed using iWay Enable and iWay Service Manager. RSS (Really Simple Syndication) is a group of Web feed formats that can be used to publish frequently updated works online (such as blogs, news, and so on) in a standardized format.

The Rssforeal demo application is delivered as a partially completed project that you work with to create a visualization of real-time event data. Basically, the RSS feed you supply is retrieved and searched for its category elements, which are then counted and plotted. Remember, not all RSS feeds define category information, so not all RSS feeds produce meaningful data.
