Datacom Distribution Tape Contents

The Datacom Read-Only Data Adapter is distributed on the same tape/cartridge as the base FOCUS product.

The table below shows the file numbers and data set attributes of the Datacom Data Adapter libraries:

These files are partitioned data sets (PDS) in IEBCOPY dump format:

The DATACOM.LOAD library contains the load modules needed to run the Datacom Data Adapter.

Allocate a separate load library using the space guidelines listed in the preceding table.

In your FOCUS CLIST, concatenate this library to the allocation for ddname FOCLIB or USERLIB.

In your FOCUS JCL, concatenate this library to the allocation for ddname STEPLIB. This technique allows data adapter load modules to be maintained separately from standard FOCUS modules.

The DATACOM.DATA library is a maintenance library. You need it to apply PTFs and generate FOCUS URTs.
