All of the FOCUS tapes shipped by Information Builders are one of the following types:

• A full release distribution tape.
• A service pack.

Full FOCUS releases are distributed on 3490 or 3480 cartridges and can be unloaded using the instructions documented in Basic Installation Steps.

If you have optional products installed (such as the Adapter for DB2), you must reinstall those after installing each new release of FOCUS.

Hotfixes are distributed via an Information Builders FTP server. You can download a hotfix using the instructions in this chapter.
