Installation Overview

The steps for installing a new release of FOCUS are:

  1. Define FOCUS Production and Maintenance Disks.
  2. Unload the FOCUS Distribution Cartridge or Download the FOCUS Files Electronically.
  3. Modify the CMS EXEC That Generates FOCUS.
  4. Install the FOCUS Site Code.
  5. Select FOCUS Default Startup Options.
  6. Generate FOCUS.
  7. Test the generated version of FOCUS.
  8. Move FOCUS to the production disk.
  9. Test FOCUS on the production disk.
  10. Link user IDs to the production disk.
