With the Direct SQL Passthru facility, you can issue any native SQL command directly to the RDBMS. This facility, included with the data adapter, provides support for both native SQL and data adapter environmental commands. You must know native SQL to use this feature for issuing SQL statements, but not for the data adapter SET commands.
